    A scene inspired from the Mughal miniatures, this imperial piece, in stunning colour variations, tells history in contemporary style.

    ‘Emperors Bird’ is a part of our ‘Murraqqa’ Collection. This piece mesmerises you with its vibrant play of colours, patterns and motifs. The falcon for instance was considered a symbol of royalty and is a recurring motif used for glorifying the Mughal kings in the Mughal miniature paintings.

    Our ‘Muraqqa’ collection, is inspired by the art of Mughal storytelling through its miniatures. It adapts motifs, patterns and structures in bright vibrant colours, retelling stories in a contemporary style.

    Designed by artist Zoya Chaudhry in Singapore. For illustrations on the cushions she use traditional, intricate and time-consuming drawing techniques

    The durable cloth used for this cushion is a mix of satin and polyester that holds on to the colour pigments thus the bright colours never run. For every cushion the back colour and piping have been carefully chosen to compliment and enhance the print.
