A fantastic and unique aviation gift made from material from the fuselage of the iconic Douglas C-47.
Used either as a keyring or a luggage tag for a bag the Reclaimed Douglas C-47 Tag is made from material reclaimed from the airframe of the C-47 Skytrain 42-100521, and is still covered in the original paintwork.
The C-47 Skytrain was formerly of the 79th Troop Carrier Squadron, 436th Troop Carrier Group and flew with the USAAF from Membury Airfield ( Station 466 ) during WWII. The air craft was christened the 'Night Fright' and took part in all the airborne missions in Europe during the war, dropping paratroopers, towing gliders, evacuating the wounded and flying tons of supplies to the front line.
This product supports the restoration efforts of the team at Night Fright. Once completed the aircraft will be a flying memorial to those men and women who served as part of Troop Carrier Command.
A fantastic birthday gift for the aviation fan. Each tag is numbered from a limited batch of 3000.
