Joanne Holbrook

When artist and designer Joanne Holbrook’s eldest son Stanley was born four years ago, she created a print for his nursery wall, making a collage of his name using some old printers blocks she’d picked up from a market in London. Then Albert arrived three years later and Joanne thought she’d create one for him too.

Glad to have made something special for her boys; Joanne put the blocks away and got on with being a busy Mum. And that seemed to be the end of the story…

But when friends came round to visit, they would ask where they had been bought. Once they realised Joanne had made them herself they started asking, and then nagging her to do the same for their little ones.

Taking the original letterpress effect as inspiration, Joanne can now digitally create a unique design piece for your own family.

Using your child’s name as a starting point, your print can also include the most important moments of your child’s first few months or years, from birth date and weight, arrival time, nick name, first words or anything else you would like to record.

They are great as gifts for the arrival of a new baby, christenings, family keepsakes, to personalise your child’s room or simply as a work of art for any wall in the house!
