These fun signs make great gifts for people who keep chickens or hens, be it on a farm, smallholding, garden or back yard.
The hen house sign would also be an amusing sign for a lady with a garden room or studio in the garden where she meets her friends.
Variations
I make these lovely signs in Derbyshire, using salvaged and natural slate. I cut it by hand, treat it with Danish oil and then engrave through the finish, leaving the engraved area in its natural state. Being engraved, the writing won't peel.
You have the option of holes drilled into the sides so you can screw your sign to your hen house or chicken shed. Or I can finish the sign with a galvanised steel rope which won't rust or rot. The steel rope also hangs more easily than a simple solid wire hanger.
These unusual pet signs are available in 'Cluckingham Palace', 'The Hen House', 'Happy Hens Lay Here', and 'The Chicken Shed' designs. You can choose between with drill holes or a hanging galvanised steel rope fixing.

Your chicken shed sign will measure around 24 - 25cm wide x 10cm deep.
Made from
Your sign is made from slate and should you choose the option with the hanger, your hanger will be made from galvanised steel wire rope.
Each piece of slate is different in texture and may contain small pieces of pyrite (Fool's Gold) which is a naturally occurring mineral in the slate. We only engrave pieces of slate we would be happy to receive ourselves. Being a natural product, no two pieces are the same, making each one truly unique.

Delivery info
I carefully wrap your sign in tissue before placing it in a cardboard box so it is ready for you to wrap once you have removed the outer packaging.
Returns
You have 28 days, from receipt of cancellable goods, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
