This personalised wooden name train makes a superb and unusual personalised gift.
With the addition of the optional flower carriages this personalised wooden name train works for both boys and girls. We can even put an extra carriage as a space for a hyphen. Just add one extra letter to the number of letters you order.
The wood we use is rubber wood, and wood being a natural product, the shading and graining on each letter will always be different. Equally over time the colour will change slightly as the wood ages.
Sadly we cannot guarantee every single letter will be identical, but for me that is part of the charm of buying a wooden gift where the letters have been cut by hand from a sustainable wood source.
The train is compatible with the Brio track.
Simply choose the letters of the name that you want, then we add the front train, engine and rear guards carriage to make the train complete.
For the girl's version, we can add some wooden flowers at no extra charge.
The front and rear engine is already included in the price, and each letter is £2. For example, 'James' is five letters so £10 + £5.00 (front and rear carriage) gives a total of £15.00. Ensure that you match the number of letters to the number you put into the Name field to avoid any delays with your order.
Age: Suitable for children aged 3 years old and above.
We can also include a drawstring cotton gift bag and a newborn gift card for any new arrivals!

Lovely item - made a beautiful gift for a new baby and something different from clothes he would grow out of. Nicely crafted. Only disappointment was the cotton gift bag, not worth the money paid for it. Would be nicer to have pretty gift bags in boy/girl colours. Quite an expensive gift by the time I added the gift bag and postage but happy overall.

Disappointed with the quality of finish of the wooden letters making up the train. My husband had to sand them down before we gave it as a present as it was rough and looked cheap.

Lovely piece but Slightly lacking attention to detail. One metal connector needed a bit of tweaking with pliers to allow connection to next carriage. One carriage had a slightly malformed block of wood for its "chassis", but possibly just a design "quirk" depending on your point of view.

Overall I am satisfied with the name train, however the finish on the engine looks quite rushed and of poor quality. There is glue residue clumped down the edges and if the item hadn't arrived while we were on holiday and was for a present as soon as we returned I would have contacted the company to ask for a replacement.

The train was a unique gift and i was looking forward to it arriving. Unfortunately I had unusual service from the seller. They called to query the delviery instructions leaving numerous messages on voicemail and email - while I was in a meeting and could not reply to them. I felt hounded! On calling them back and confirming the delivery arrangments, given I had paid for next day delviery I was assured it would arrive on the Friday but would require a signature. I did not receive this even though I waited in during the working day for this product to be delivered. It was also not delivered on the Saturday - another day wasted. After calling customer services at notonthehighstreet, who got in touch with the seller, the delivery was confirmed and I got my postage fees refunded. I cannot thank and praise notonthehighstreet customer servie enough- I even got a little postcard from them apologising for the inconvienence that the seller caused - even though it was the seller that should have been apologises and not notonthehighstreet! Eventually the train arrived on the Monday. It looked great - althugh having paid extra for the gift bag i was dissappointed as it was cheap looking. I also had to make some adjustments to the train letters (the links did not join in some letters) but this was easily fixed - however it should have been something the seller checked before sending. In the end the recipient loved the gift - albeit it was a delivered a week later than it should have been.

One of the letters was chipped, two of the connecting hooks weren't open enough to connect, the cotton bag for which we paid extra was rubbish & not worth the money and the train took about 8 days to be delivered. Great looking items on the website but rubbish service & disappointing quality.

Like the train - it's cute but I don't think it's great quality for the price, especially if you have a longer name and it's certainly not going to be strong enough for using on Brio tracks as mentioned in description. I had to adjust all the links to join the carriages and they don't stay fixed. Looks good but only ever an ornament.

I can't comment on the product as I've never seen it. However my friend said it was "lovely". The service from this seller was super. They called and emailed me to let me know that there had been 2 attempted deliveries but no answer and to contact my friend to call the courrier. Other sellers would not have bothered. My initial thoughts concerning the "high" delivery costs were dispelled. It was worth every penny. Will definately buy from this seller again.

I was really disappointed with this product. The seller had used really cheap sticky bar code labels on each letter that were impossible to remove without damaging the product. I therefore had to give the gift to someone with the labels on which looked rubbish! Very disapponted!

You feel the labels have caused you to rate the product as bad but it is a legal requirement of toys sold in the UK to have the correct labelling to highlight any toys that do not meet the required safety standards and I am sure you would not want this any other way. The labels are stuck on the base of the toy and not in any visible area under normal use. The labels could have also been removed by dampening with a sponge which in no way would have damaged the toy. Excellent product but I ordered the same Personalised Wooden Name train for two different children and they arrived identically gift wrapped with no labelling so I couldn't tell which one was which. Therefore, I had to unwrap one of them to find out and could not re-wrap it so had to throw away the wrapping and wrap it myself! Annoying!!

I bought a set like this for my son for £ 9.00, from a local shop. This time I wanted to get a set with the same ammount of letters for a friends son.and did it on the internet from your company. As it was considerably more expensive and the postage fee was steep i expected that the trains would be of a much higher quality and must be heavier to cost that ammount of postage.I had them delivered directly to my friend when i saw that this was not the case I was really disapointed as they were exactly the same as the ones I had bought before much more cheaply.

I ordered 2 'named trains' which are of excellent quality. 10 letters in total & 2 trains & carriages,all with nice little brass hooks with the exception of one with a steel coloured one which looks a bit odd & why I've gone for good instead of excellent. A fine purchase though.

The product was described as a hand made wooden train, when in fact it felt like cheap, mass produced fibre board. A little disappointing given the price!

I was very pleased with the personalised wooden alphabet train I purchased for my Grandson. However two of the links located on the front and back of one of the letters was of a different colour to the others (gold colour rather than silver). I sent an email regarding this difference asking if two small replacement links could be sent to me so all the links were of the same colour. Although my email was acknowledged I have heard nothing since.

I ordered a child's personalised alphabet train and was a little disappointed that, despite it being 'hand packed' some of the hooks & eyes were on the wrong sides of the letters, so that we had to swap some around to enable the name to be laid out and connected correctly. However, the overall quality of the item is very pleasing.

Nice train set but was a tiny bit disappointed with the size and finish. I have kept it though and will give as a gift. I don't think it's nice enough for a Christening gift as I originally intended, more like Xmas or a birthday present.

Very sweet idea and good value but sloppy attention to detail - the screws that connect each section came in different colours i.e some gold and some silver which didn't look great but I didn't have time to return it as their birthday was the next day! Also there were variations in the colour of the wood...
