What Katie did next... was launched in 2010, whilst I was on maternity leave with my second son, I affectionately named it after my favourite childhood book series.
Born out of my passion for colour, pattern and stitch, I use the freehand embroidery skills I fell in love whilst studying fashion design. I have always created, often making one-off pieces for friends and family. When they asked me to make gifts for them to give, I decided to start a new chapter... and here I am, loving every second of what I do!.
Working in my garden studio, I use sketchbooks to record and develop my ideas. Making a range of handcrafted textile gifts, I predominantly use the very best leather I can find, mixing it with the prettiest of Liberty prints before adding my illustrative stitching to create unique pieces. I hand make every piece, and as a stickler for detail I make sure each one passes the quality test.
I love to give gifts that have been well thought out and personal, I've based my business on this premise. I love knowing the products I make will make others happy!
