A unique and original atmospheric painting in calm tones of green and brown bringing a sense of tranquility, peace and mystery.
The series grew out of a commission to make a painting of a view through a forest of trees. I was taking part in an exhibition in Ashbridge in Hertfordshire and to get to it there was a magnificent drive through a forest of ancient Ash trees. I was inspired and took lots of photos and back in my studio aimed to capture the magic and atmosphere I found there.
