My name is Lou and I am the designer & maker behind ’Tickety Lou’, a small creative business which I run from my home in Worcestershire, England.

I have always been creative, and have always loved designing and making unique things. In fact, I cannot remember a time when I have not had some kind of design project on the go.

I graduated with a degree in Fashion Design, which enabled me to explore so many creative methods, media and fields raging from Textile Design to Illustration and Brand creation.

But, it was when on maternity leave in early 2021 that I finally decided I wanted to combine this passion for all things creative and my love of unique accessories, take them to the next level, and have a go at making some! So, I learnt how to make jewellery, initially starting with simple Polymer clay designs for friends and family, who loved them so much I was soon taking orders!

Knowing that something I made makes someone else’s day brighter is such an awesome feeling, so I decided to start setting up at some small local craft fairs.

Much to my delight, lots of people loved them, and it’s been pretty much non-stop since!

I have an awesome day job which I love, and I’m also Mum to a two-year-old, but pretty much all of my free time is dedicated to creating the brightest of bright jewellery in my small studio.

Well over a year in, and I'm still getting used to seeing people wearing my creations and looking amazing - it’s hard not to let out a little squeal of excitement!
