With our antique 1843, cast iron Albion press, we have created this lovely, contemporary print using vintage woodblock type. This print features a traditional pointing finger and is printed in a specially mixed teal shade on brown manilla card. It has a great seaside vibe. The first photos make the print look lighter than it really is - the true colour of the ink is a mid-tone greeny blue.
It is one of an edition of 30 prints. We use vintage letterpress wooden blocks and hand ink each print so the result is slightly different each time. The brown manilla card is made using 100% recycled paper and the inks we use are made from a blend of mineral and vegetable oils. It is stamped, numbered and dated on the back and is sent out in a stiffened cardboard envelope with a protective biodegradable sleeve.
All our prints are handmade, not reproduced on a laser or commercial printer. The print can be fitted into a standard Ikea frame, as shown in the first photograph.
