Made in Britain
The galaxy ukulele is made using awe-inspiring Hubble telescope photos to make your playing out of this world (that's right, we went there!).
We tirelessly source the finest fabrics and quality papers from our workshop in Edinburgh. We then have these designs printed onto our base ukuleles for a beautifully smooth finish.
These instruments are not designed for children as they are not suitable for rough pay.
We are currently only selling the black version.
For our base ukuleles we use standard Malani Soprano Ukes. We sell these ukes as beginner's instruments so if you are a ukulele whizz and would like to have a different brand used for the base we are more than happy to work with you on this. Having said that we all play Malanis and we love 'em! You can message us via the 'ask seller a question' button.
Our ukuleles arrive with lax strings; this is so there is no chance that they may snap in transit. This means they will need to be stretched before they can be properly tuned. There are many resources online to show you how to do this, it is a process which takes around 15 minutes and is extremely easy to do.
Due to supply issues we have swapped our base ukulele supplier. The only change between our old supplier and our new one is that our new supplier uses white plastic nuts around the tuning pegs instead of mental ones. We think it doesn't have a negative effect on the aesthetic (and it actually allows a greater grip allowing for better tuning!) but as some of our customers might, so we thought we would put in this message.
The front and back sides of the ukulele are made from basswood, the neck is made from nado and the fingerboard and bridge are made from rosewood.
Our ukuleles are a standard soprano size.
