This original vintage travel poster is titled 'Le Printemps En France', which translates to The Spring In France.
It was designed by the famous French artist Roual Dufy and shows all the joys of spring time, with fresh, bright colours. The composition concentrates on the Eiffel Tower, with other landmarks in the background. A beautiful mid-century poster, perfect as a romantic gift for a loved one and sure to look great anywhere in home or office.
The poster shows the details of the printer that printed it in the bottom right hand border.
Like most posters of this period it was printed to the highest of standards. Known as an offset lithograph poster, lithography was a highly skilled process, and very time consuming. It gradually fell out of favour for these reasons. The finished product was a beautifully clear image, which gives the poster a painterly feel.
Original posters are highly collectable, and also make beautiful art for your walls. They have steadily risen in value and collectability over the past 30 years, and are now seen as a hot and trendy investment. Vintage posters are sure to hold their value, or rise in value over the coming years.
