We pride ourselves on quality workmanship and the highest standard of customer care. As such, we are sorry to hear that this order was not received in perfect condition. All of our shelves are constructed, painted and packaged by ourselves and we would like to reassure customers that we would not dispatch a damaged shelf. Occasionally shelves may be damaged in transit. To protect ourselves and our customers against this, we insure every shelf against loss or damage so that we are able to offer a replacement or full refund and where appropriate, compensation, with the carrier meeting all off the associated costs. It is regrettable that this customer did not contact us and afford us the opportunity to make amends in this way. As a result of this incident we have upgraded our packaging for this product which we trust will avoid damage to future shipments.

The shelf itself is good and just as we hoped style and size wise, however just a couple of things let it down. Firstly there is quite a large chip on one of the corners which was there before it got painted. Had I have bought the shelf in a shop I definitely would have returned it because of this but having waited 4 weeks for it we didnt want any further delay in putting it up. Secondly, it's a real shame it's not provided with the screws to put it up. We had expected that for a £50 shelf it would come with at least 2 screws!
