New car and low loader: It has magnetic couplings, ensuring it can be easily linked with other items from the range.
The pieces are well finished in painted wood in assorted colours (red, yellow, green, blue or orange). We always mix up the colours and endeavour to use all the colours on every train. Each one comes individually packaged.
All letters are detachable from the base so playtime can be more fun mixing up the letters. You can also choose to include train track with your train.

I bought a little pink and red train for my grand daughter and a second coloured one for her new baby brother. The trains are of excellent quality and look fabulous on their bedroom shelves and they can be played with as they get older. After reading all the positive feedback about this product I decided to purchase it over another similar item. Although the actual item is of good quality, I was disappointed with the plastic packaging which was described as a box. Also this item is available cheaper on ebay and I spotted it in the toy section of a local department store, so the product isn't that unique.

I had previously purchased one of these trains for my nephew whos name was JUDE it was lovely I was really pleased! So I ordered up another one for a friend's newborn, he was called SHAY unfortunately I had to send it back. The letter 'S' was not in proportion with the other letters it was the same height but only half the width, it did not look good at all! I contacted the seller who informed me that the letters where made a set size and that was it! So I returned the item for a refund. Something to think about if you have an 'S' in your required name, apart from this it is a lovely little gift.

Disappointing quality product. The reviews all stated that it was sturdy and high quality but unfortunately I don't agree. The main issue was the paintwork which wasn't as neat as it could be. Delivery was 10 days.

I absolutely love the personalised train, is very colourful and looks beautiful. The only thing i was disappointed with was the train track i ordered as it was not as long as i hoped for and therefore the whole train does not fit on the track.

I requested that no orange was included in my train, I got emails back and fourth to let me know that my request was noted. The train arrived and it was how I wanted it, it is a beautiful little piece, which sits perfectly in my little nephews room! His parents love it! I would recommend this item 100% :-)

I bought the name train for my 3 month old nephew for Christmas, although he is far too small to play with it! His parents loved it and will keep it on display until he is old enough to use it. Great tool for teaching children the letters in their name, also thought it might be a good idea to build up a whole set whilst he's still small so that each birthday or Christmas he will get an added bridge or road, little people...etc. By the time he's old enough it'll be a great joy to see it all put together!

The description of what each part of the train is, should be clearer - I wasted £5 buying a steam whistle that it was indicated was part of the train set but in fact it doesn't go with the train. A clearer description would have saved me time and money!

I have bought this train as a naming day present for a friend. it is good that you can pick and mix the train colour but you dont get a choice of letter colour. The only thing a wasnt aware of was that the letters are removeable from the train and come off very easily, if it were bought for me I would glue them on.

Bought this for my nephews 1st birthday, it was good quality and thought it was good that works with rail set which I hope to get him when he's older. I thought the name train would have been bigger looking at pictures on website and was a bit dissapointed that some of the letters were different sizes to each other so looked like a mixture of upper and lower case, but overall satisfied with product.

Lovely item, well made with strong magnets. My boys loved theirs especially as you can pull off the letters and slot them back on the carriages. My only disappointment was the colour variety - despite it clearly stating all the colours would be mixed - I received 11 letters (for two names) and only one letter was yellow. Still a lovely present.

one letter had to be returned. This was no problem when I eventually talked to the company. However I could not find a tel no to contact a person in customer services on 'not on the high st' and after a lot of frustration trying to work around the site with the site 'freezing may times' I gave up and asked BT what the tel no was of the company. I then spoke to a person and got the problem sorted straight away.

Pictures on the website are very misleading as the train set was tiny. Quality was fine but I think the item was expensive for the size. Not great value for money.

The train arrived very quickly, within a couple of days of placing the order. It really is lovely, well made, the pictures do not do it justice. I brought it for my nephew and my sister was delighted with it! Unfortunately the whistle could not be supplied but I was refunded promptly. Will be ordering one for any one else who has a baby in the future!

The train was lovely but I do have one disappointment which was that the I ordered a name train which contained eight letters there was only one yellow letter and therefore to my eye looked dull, and 'out of balance' and not as bright, fun or as appealing as it might to a child's eye. Could I suggest that more thought be given to how the train will look as a finished product otherwise I thought it was lovely.

The item was a present and came gift--wrapped so I never saw it but the recipient was v pleased. My only complaint was that it said delivery in 3-5 days (we had a naming day to attend on the Sat so ordered it on the Mon -plenty of time!). It wasn't even dispatched until the following Monday which made me feel the website delivery times were misleading and therefore was embarrassed on the naming day as we had to show up with no present from our NCT group!

Expectations for what the train looked like were completely different than reality. I thought they would be much larger and significantly more crafted. In reality they are those little trains you see everywhere (yes, on the high street!) with a sterile letter on - if I had seen it in the shop I may have bought it for about £7, not the £15 i paid. This has made me re-evaluate all of notonthehighstreets offerings, and as a result I am significantly less likely to purchase anything else from here. p.s. I don't rate notonthehighstreet as poor, but i certainly don't rate it as good, so that was my only option.

I bought this train for my friends four year old and he loves it. For me it was nice to be able to give him something he will keep forever rather than plastic action figures which he'll go off within the next six months. The train, was really good quality and stood upto 10 ish four year olds at the party. I would definatly recomend this item to anyone who wants to give a present that will last and be loved hopefully forever.

Perhaps we didn't read the measurements correctly, however the photo of the train certainly gave the impression of the train being a lot larger than it was. It was tiny!! The paint on the train didn't really look such good quality and some areas were a bit chipped - not enough to send back but I definately wouldn't have bought it, had I seen it in the flesh.

The magnetic poles of the train carriages were opposites which meant that they repelled each other rather than stuck to each other! I was really disappointed.

Although the dimensions were in the advertisement I bought the train because it looked quite large and was unhappy with the actual size when it arrived. Also, although I know that it is natural wood, was disappointed with the finish and the paintwork. I have sent the train back for a refund.

Mainly happy with the train itself but unhappy with the presentation and wrapping. Each piece of train was in a separate plastic box, all of which were jumbled together and wrapped quite poorly. There was no bubblewrap around the gift so it arrived quite battered. I had to unwrap and rewrap, which is terrible, having paid for giftwrapping, but I'm glad that I did as I took all the pieces out of their boxes and laid them in order (i.e spelling the name) in a box, which I then wrapped myself.

Good, but was smaller than expected. That in itself was not a huge issue, but the letters also seemed inconsistent... we ordered 'SAM', yet the S was smaller than the other two letters, almost looking like it was from a different letter set. Overall, the train was good and well received, but I was a little disappointed initially, as I felt there were a number of product 'features' that were not mentioned and may have factored into my decision to buy - such as all the pieces coming apart (I expected the letters to be attached to the carriages)
