Handmade Leather Bags and Accessories

The Leather Store is an independent label created by Beckie Sims in 2005 and has gained a reputation for creating a unique collection of leather handbags and accessories.

Since 2005, The Leather Store has gone from strength to strength and is now an established handbag brand with a worldwide, loyal customer base. In 2011, we joined Not On The High Street and are proud to be part of such a creative and trusted community.

We're passionate about our products and are committed to creating beautiful pieces that our customers enjoy carrying. All of our items are handcrafted from vegetable tanned leather, lined in our distinctive floral print fabric and finished with high quality hardware. Our focus is always on creating a truly original, lovingly handcrafted item.

How It's Made

The Creative Process

The creative process always begins with an idea, a design and the creation of a sample bag. The next step is selecting the right leather which is essential to ensuring a beautiful and useable item is created.

All of our leathers have been personally selected and developed especially for The Leather Store and are produced to EU safety standards. We use vegetable tanned leather for all of our bags and accessories. Vegetable tanning is an ancient, traditional process of using organic materials to produce and finish the hide. This achieves a natural looking, durable leather that will age beautifully and develop a unique patina over time.

Once the leather pieces have been cut from our unique patterns, they are glued and machine stitched into place. Our bags are lined with our distinctive floral print fabric and finished with high quality hardware.

All of the creative processes come together to create a truly original, lovingly handcrafted item.

Delivery

The Leather Store offers worldwide shipping. We aim to ship all orders within 1-2 business days.

Once your order has been received and accepted, your item will be prepared for shipping. You'll receive an estimated shipping date and delivery date. We work hard to ensure that these dates are as accurate as possible.

Your order will be wrapped and boxed to ensure that it arrives in perfect condition.

Shipping Information

All UK orders are shipped by Royal Mail 24 service. This is a next day service but not guaranteed

US, Canada* and European* orders are shipped Fedex Priority with an estimated shipping time of 2-3 business days

Rest of the World orders are shipped Royal Mail

*some remote area exceptions may apply, these will be shipped Royal Mail

When your order has been dispatched, you'll receive a shipping notification containing tracking information. You should then start to track your package to ensure safe receipt. Tracking information and a direct tracking link can be found in your NOTHS order history.

All delivery times are approximate. If you're ordering from outside of the UK, delivery times are dependent on your domestic postal services and any customs clearing processes that may apply.

The Leather Store is not liable for any import duties, taxes or handling charges that the courier or domestic authorities may apply to your shipment. There are no customs fees payable on orders to the USA under $800.
