When the question's been popped, we've got the perfect engagement gift to celebrate. In the language of flowers, the pretty Myrtle plant has long been associated with love. It was sacred to Aphrodite in classical times, and the Victorians added sprigs to bridal bouquets to symbolise a happy marriage. A delightful tradition which we think should be continued - the lucky recipient can take a sprig from their very own myrtle plant that you gave them to add to their wedding bouquet.

We send a potted Myrtle plant: its dense green leaves have a lovely spicy aroma when crushed; wonderfully scented creamy-white flowers in late spring; followed by dark purple berries, which can be used to season meat dishes. The Myrtle can be planted outside in a sunny spot, or kept in its pot to be brought indoors for winter. Along with their Myrtle they will receive a copper plaque and wire frame to place alongside their plant (full engraving instructions are included)
