This Butterfly bell jar is made using premium quality 99% UV blocking conservation glass to preserve our specimens, and is supported by an eco-friendly cork base.
Each piece from our Royal Collection is embellished with an authentic, hand-pressed wax seal stamp, depicting the royal cypher of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The common moniker Queen Flasher comes from its scientific name “regina”, a Latin word meaning “queen.” P. regina is the largest member of the genus. It was discovered by the legendary explorer and naturalist Henry Walter Bates in 1864 , and named in honour of Queen Victoria - the great-great grandmother of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

These programs help to protect & manage threatened species and the habitats they live in, as well as providing a viable source of sustainable income to people in growing countries and allowing communities to develop symbiotically with the rainforests.
