Making cheese with kids is a great way to introduce them to some basic scientific principles whilst also teaching them about where food comes from.
All you need at home is a big pan and a colander, everything else is in the kit, just add milk.
The kit contains enough ingredients to make 10 batches. Each batch is around 2lbs; 20lbs is a lot of cheese!
There are no perishable ingredients in the kit so you can buy it and give it as a gift at a later date.
The Kit has been designed with the environment in mind. All packing is from recycled sources. Out pots are made from Vegware and can be composted.
At the end of it they get to eat some yummy fresh cheese which contains absolutely no artificial ingredients. Each kit makes 10 batches.
They (and you!) will be amazed by the process and the end results. Making cheese is surprisingly quick and simple. You could be eating your own home made cheese in around an hour. All you need to add is milk. You can also add some of your child's favourite ingredients to make it even more delicious!
This kit makes two types of cheese: Queso Blanco and Ricotta. Both are mild white cheeses which childen love.
The Child's Cheese Making Kit would make an ideal gift for any child with an active imagination. The kit can be used with any age group but would mostly appeal to age 7 or over. It is designed to be made with children rather than by children.
Kit contains: fun stickers, step by step instructions and guide, citric acid, organic sea salt, butter muslin and dairy thermometer.
The kits come beautifully packaged and are sent in a brown mailing box for protection. There is the option of gift wrapping and a personalised card.
(we are now using pouches rather than tubs as photographed)
The box dimensions are: 25cm x 8cm x 15cm.
