The award winning, Edinburgh based, independent eco-label Susiemaroon is the brainchild of artist and designer Susie Brown. Susie’s focus is to create “pieces which become part of the family”. Her designs replicate the warmth and history of aging objects, harnessing that little something that comforts the soul.
Susiemaroon’s range of home and fashion textile accessories are created using an assortment of natural and ethical materials including organic fabrics, vintage fabrics and vegetable tanned leather. Our organic fabric have both the Fair-trade and SKAL stamp of approval and all leather is sourced from a family run Scottish tannery who specialise in tanning wild deerskin.
The skins are sourced from Scottish game-dealers who are closely monitored by the Deer Commission Scotland. These hides would otherwise discarded as a by-product of the venison industry and sent to landfill.
