A beautifully handmade illuminated Plough (Big Dipper) constellation woodblock print within a light box. The perfect gift for star gazers!
The Plough, part of the Ursa Major constellation is easily found and recognised in our night skies and a favourite among many. Equally beautiful when unlit, the print would make any keen astronomer smile.
The energy efficient LED lights behind the print produce a lovely warm, soft glow and as such would make an ideal night light or atmospheric living room side light.
Variations
The light box comes with a choice of black or white frame and the hand typed text is optional. It is mains powered the cord length being approximately 1m 45.

The print itself has been hand printed and hand pulled from a ply woodblock in midnight blue ink with a dusting of gold pigment for added shimmer. The stars have been hand cut out and shine slightly brighter than the surrounding sky.
The choice of handtyped text of either of the constellation names is done using an old Imperial 66 Typewriter which gives the print an elegant aged old world feel in its style.
