Made in Britain
Shiruba Tree’s rings have always been about two contrasting elements - richly toned hardwoods set against the brightness of high grade silver.
The "native" embodies the principles of Shiruba Tree's ethos. Its sleek frame is a measured balance of wood and metal, a refined ring that is easy to wear. The subtle wooden band brings a touch of agelessness to this striking piece of jewellery.
Naturally packed in printed boxes made from 95% recycled materials.
Customers can choose the type of wood they want on their ring, including: Cocobolo, Burl, Ebony, Maple, Palo Santo, Pink Ivory, Rosewood, Teak, Tulipwood, Walnut, African Blackwood, Kingwood and Oak. Please see the image sidebar for a photo of Shiruba Tree’s wood options. All woods come from sustainable sources.
Each of Shiruba Tree’s made-to-order pieces is hand-crafted. Every ring is made from 925 sterling silver with hand-cut solid wood inlays.
Shiruba Tree rings require no more care than any other piece of jewellery. Over time, the wood will pick up the natural oils secreted from your hands and skin, adding strength and flexibility to the natural material. However, we always suggest care be taken in the first few months of the life of the ring, as this is when the wood is settling in. We also suggest avoiding any long-term exposure to extreme heat or water - though your ring will be fine when bathing or showering. As time passes, you may consider lightly oiling the wood from time to time with a good quality olive oil or beeswax. This will condition the wood and give it colour.
