'L' - BEE MIX
A mix of native wildflowers that bees will just love! This carefully selected mix is designed specifically to attract solitary bees, honey bees and bumblebees. Each seed ball contains approximately 30 seeds from a mix of Birdsfoot Trefoil, Foxglove, Red Clover, Viper’s Bugloss and Wild Marjoram – all recommended as bee-friendly plants by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust.
'O' - BUTTERFLY MIX
This lovely collection of mostly purple, pink and blue flowers is designed to attract butterflies to our gardens, balconies and window boxes and uses only flowers recommended by Butterfly Conservation. Each seed ball contains approximately 30 seeds from a mix of Purple Loosestrife, Forget-me-not, Musk mallow, Red campion and Yarrow, plus a sprinking of pollinator-friendly annuals Chamomile, Cornflower, Corn marigold, and Night-flowering catchfly.
'V' - URBAN MEADOW
A beautiful mix of native wildflowers that are perfect for pollinators. Urban Meadow is a colourful combination of hardy annuals and perennials that will do well in most gardens, including those in more polluted areas (and ideal for road verges). Each seed ball contains approximately 30 seeds from a mix of Common toadflax, Cornflower, Cowslip, Meadow cranesbill, Musk mallow, Oxeye daisy and Red campion.
'E' - SHADE MIX
A mix of British native wildflowers that are ideal for shadier areas. While these will struggle in total shade, this mix is designed for areas with only dappled sun or sun for just one part of the day. Contains Bellflower, Forget-me-not, Meadow buttercup, Meadowsweet, Oxeye daisy, Ragged robin and Red campion.

Each tin is 64mm in diameter and 26mm high, weighs 50g and contains 20 wildflower seed balls.
Made from
Each tin contains 20 balls, and will cover 1 square metres in a garden bed or 3-5 medium sized pots (total coverage of the set is 4 square metres and 12-20 pots. Leave at least 10cm between each ball. Best scattered in Spring or Autumn (we suggest leaving them in the fridge for a couple of weeks before scattering them!).
We make the balls ourselves from a mixture of UK wildflower seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The outer clay protects the seeds from ants, birds and mice, and once sufficient water has permeated the clay, the seeds inside begin to germinate - helped along by the nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder continues to deter slugs and snails while the seed ball slowly degrades and the seeds sprout. Wildflowers are naturally slow to grow and the balls can take 2-4 weeks to begin to sprout. Some will flower in the first year and others may not flower until the second year, but the display should keep getting better each year :) The more they are initially watered the quicker they will be to start to grow, although they will be ok to leave them to the rain to water them as well :)
Tins are made by the last tin can maker of London with a help of a solar farm on the factory roof.
