About

Richard and Tina Vasey live in Cornwall and are stainless steel artists. They create beautiful yacht ,dinghy and marine life sculptures out of highly polished stainless steel.

Richard is a keen laser and half tonner sailor. He gained his welding skills whilst working on oil platforms in both the North Sea and Africa. On returning to work in Cornwall he was eager to combine his professional skill of welding with his love of sailing in a minimalist style. Whilst Tina is an Arts graduate, with a passion for design and also a keen sailor.

All the sculptures they create are cut from sheet metal , and hand polished many times using a buffing machine. Every sculpture created is handmade and unique.

Richard's work has proven popular within the sailing community and his sculptures have been used as yacting awards for a range of sailing events including: The current Extreme 40 World Series Trophy, Atemis Challenge Trophy- Cowes Week, Port Cities Challenge Trophy- San Diego leg of The America's Cup.Recent commissions include sculptures for the Britannia Cruise liner and the BBC.

Their Sculptures can also be found in galleries in the UK , and in two museums in the United States.
