Peculiar Vintage Jewellery's creative force is British designer Stef Warde who debuted her first collection 'Curio' influenced by her love of vintage and retro. Stefs' passion is rooted in the arts, with a Fine Art & Textiles background and a degree in Fashion & Illustration. However it wasn't until she was travelling South America did the idea to learn jewellery-making become an ambition, and on the her return to the UK she immediately enrolled with Sir John Cass, Metropolitan University London, to learn Silversmithing & Jewellery Design for 2 years.
Her distinctive style has grown to become overtly hand-hewn, soulful, with considered marks and weathering, giving the perfect imperfection to each piece. A huge nod to her arts background. In turn, this unique technique and aesthetic has built her a loyal following.
Building on the brand's success, Stef opened a shop and studio space in 2014 based in free-spirited Brighton. Peculiar Vintage Jewellery has seen a steady rise in commission work and is fast becoming a go to for 'alternative engagement rings'. Traditional rules of what makes a Wedding or Engagement ring has been discarded in favour of edgier, hand-hewn, affordable design.
