Zara is a gorgeous petite chest of drawers, which features a total of eight small drawers, ideal for underwear, childrens clothes, letters and paper. It is crafted from wood then fully encompassed in embossed metal sheeting to create a wonderfully ethnic, pretty finish.
The embossed sheeting begins life a shiny silver (see the uncoated silver version pictured last) and in the blackened version (pictured first) has been coated in a thick black paint which fills in the gaps creating a fantastic decorative contrast pattern. The blackened version features complementary rounded black knobs and the silver version has delicate glass handles.
We're often asked about the pros and cons of each finish as customers don't know which to choose. The silver version is bright and showy because all the shiny metal is on display. The blackened version is toned down because half the shiny silver has been covered by the black coating, but the striking contrast this creates brings its own type of wow-factor. Please note, each piece is unique. The item has a quirky, imperfect finish as standard. The metal sheeting is aluminium to avoid tarnishing.
