Each kurti top is individually hand embroidered by a craftsperson from Lucknow, India where this type of specialised embroidery originates.
No two tops are the same - the embroidery details will vary from garment to garment. You will own a truly one-off piece that has been painstakingly created.
Chikan, the intricate white on white floral embroidery, boasts a heritage that is centuries old and steeped in tradition. Skills were passed from generation to generation and zealously guarded, so much so that even today it remains popularly known as Lucknowi embroidery. We think it was introduced during the long Moghul reign in India where this exceptional embroidery was embraced by royalty and citizens of high standing.
