OKIDO

OKIDO is an arts and science magazine for children aged 3 - 8.

Published bi monthly, containing absolutely no advertising and with content from some of the UK's leading designers, artists and illustrators OKIDO is a breath of fresh air in a world of poor quality, over-commercialism and hard-sell to our youngsters.

Printed on recycled paper using 100% vegetable inks OKIDO is 21cm x 30cm. With around 46 pages of colourful activities, stories, recipes, poems, colouring and experiments; each issue of OKIDO looks at a different scientific theme and discusses, expolores and answers these themes in the most colourful and creative manner possible. From issue 30 onwards, each copy of OKIDO contains a wonderfully creative cardboard game to pull out and make.

Meet regular characters such as Messy Monster (we all have one of them at home don't we?), Zim Zam and Zoom, Foxy, Yoga Monkey and Squirrel Boy. Each issue these characters will take the reader through an array of activities for all children with an inquisitive nature.

Independently published since 2007, OKIDO encourages learning through play and exploration alongside the reader's guardians. This cross-generational, activity publication is fast becoming a safe and trusted educational platform for young children of both genders. OKIDO promotes equality between boys and girls and offers a colourful yet secure world for children to explore at home with their families and with regular leads into the national curriculum.
