Welcome and thank you for stopping by. My name is Sharon King and I create a range of hand painted items for interiors in my home studio in Essex, under the name of Nosy Rosie Designs.

With a background in fashion and interior decorative arts, and a love of all things vintage, I am influenced by English cottage gardens, the faded grandeur of French Rococo and primitive, rustic and country styles from America and this is reflected in my style which I term loosely as shabby vintage chic.

I like the look of honest wear and patina and I often use distressed and aged finishes in my work. I work with a variety of materials and techniques including hand painted motifs, stencils, decoupage and paint effects and often combine them in one piece. I work primarily on wood, mdf and canvas.

Signs are a particular speciality, but I also paint a range of interior accessories. I offer both basic signs as well as one-off unique and original paintings, bespoke work and personalised items and as each item is hand painted,no two are alike.
