We are Chris and Nicky Algar and have been working together since 1984 designing and making everything we sell ourselves.

We are Chris and Nicky Algar and have been working together since 1984 using different materials and techniques at first and producing exclusive ranges for most of the top London stores including Liberty and Heals.

We started working in pewter in 1998 setting up our own in house production and were mostly wholesaling all over the country and internationally before deciding to sell exclusively online through Notonthehighstreet.

Our aim is to produce high quality individual handmade designs that are unique and special keepsakes with the added advantage of being made in the UK by us from scratch and with the emphasis on personalised items that are hand cast finished and then personalised by Chris using metal stamps.

Pewter is a much softer metal than silver and it doesn't tarnish, our soft lustrous finish is not highly polished, is easy to care for and can be cleaned using a soft cloth.

All designs are presented in simple gift packaging thus complete and ready to give.
