To use the Camembert roaster simply unwrap your cheese, place back in the bottom of the wooden box and pop into the roaster's pan. Then gather friends around the fire side, place the pan on the embers of the fire and wait till the boxed cheese starts to bubble. When that happens, grab some crusty bread and dig in. The Camembert will have melted to a silky smooth sauce, ready to be enjoyed with a hearty red wine and friends.
Don't worry if you don't have an open fire, you can use the roaster on the top plate of Aga's or put into a conventional oven with the door ajar. When it's not in use, the roaster makes an attractive rustic ornament by the fire, or hanging in the kitchen.
No cheese in the fridge? The roaster is perfect for chestnuts too. It's deep sides will keep them out of the fire and roast them to perfection.
Like all our pieces the Camembert roaster is handmade by us in our forge in rural West Sussex. We make it from mild steel, then burnish and lacquer it.
