Longshot Press

Longshot Press was set up in 2010 by me, Emma Majury, an artist and printmaker living and working in Co. Down, Northern Ireland.

An avid collector of all sorts of things, I am often drawn to old tins, packaging, books and postcards. With vintage tins and packaging I am fascinated by the patterns and designs - so much more intricate and elabroate than modern packaging. When I find old postcards I buy them not for the images on the front but rather the messages on the back, sometimes mundane but more often than not a fascinating snippet of somebody else’s life.

Each of my prints begin as a hand drawn pen illustration which I scan and then colour digitally using a wacom tablet and pen. All prints are printed to order on archival matte paper.

I love the fact that I can use my drawings to create lovely products that people can enjoy everyday with my reasonably priced prints helping brighten up their walls!
