This striking wall planter has been made from strong stoneware clay and textured on the surface with a contemporary leaf design. It has been formed into a conical shape which adds to its modern feel to hold plants and flowers. It has a hole at the top so it can be hung from a wall and a small hidden opening at the base to allow excess water to drain from the planter.
It has been fired in my kiln to a high temperature (1260c) to make it strong and durable, the surface has been left unglazed to show the attractive nature of this clay. On closer inspection it features a speckle throughout the surface. It is intended for exterior use but would look equally at home hung as an interior decoration to hold small houseplants.
This wall planter measures approximately 28cm long, an ideal size for growing alpines, succulents and other fairly compact plant species. A frost resistant item that can be left outside during the winter months if required.
