  Just personal taste but wish one of the stones was'nt so flat. I got the darker stones and found the engraving didn't show up so well. Slight difference from picture on the website. This may be due to lighting of picture taken. Still love them though.

  There was a problem with one of the stones but the seller was very quick at sending me another which was lovely. I understand that there are natural defects in the stones but this really did look like the end was going to break off. It did make me think that it should not have been sent to me in the first place (although it could have happened in transit). also although it does say the size of the stone, they are a bit small and because of this the flatter stones look much better.

  The pebble I received in the post was not what I had expected. The stone appeared quite clearly to be fabricated due to its soft porous surface, which could be scratched with my nail, and its chemical smell which is likely to be resin. I have several engraved natural stones at home to compare with. This is not a problem considering the price but I think it should be clearly stated by the company.

  Letterfest's response:

  I can absolutely guarantee the stones are 100% natural and are NOT manmade. As natural pebbles, they are not all made of the same rock, and this stone was a chalkier more porous rock. In the engraving process we use white spirit to clean the stone after engraving, which is then washed and any risidual smell is cleaned off with soap and water. However if the rock is very porous the white spirit will soak in more, and will take longer to evaporate. I have contacted you to see if we can engrave a replacement. Best wishes Wendy LETTERFEST

  The spaces between letters on the stone were not even. This was a wedding gift so I did not have time to return the item and to request a replaceent.

  Letterfest's response:

  We are sorry to hear that you were not entirely happy with your purchase. We do ask customers to contact us if there is an issue with one of our bespoke items. In this case as it was too close to the time the gift was needed for, we could have sent a replacement direct to the recipient with a gift message. We would have asked for a photo to be sent for speed so we could see what the issue with the item was rather than returning it, and could have engraved a replacement in a few days.   The stone is fine (although seems smaller than I expected) - my one gripe was the gift box which arrived with a crushed corner and a crease. Haven't had time to complain as it seems a bit pointless for a box - but I guess the company should know that perhaps some sturdier packaging might be useful in future.

For some reason it didn't register with the order and so I recontacted Not on the high street.com who stated that they would recontact Letterfest re order no 1333282! To no avail!   I was able to ask a question directly to the seller before placing my order, this was answered quickly and helped me decide which stone to choose. Once ordered it arrived quickly, in a nice box with a blue ribbon and the stone looks great. It was a gift and the recipients love it. I will very likely order more and would recommend.

  When I communicated with the seller, the response was quick and helpful. The stone itself is lovely, very tactile and most unusual. Some reviews I read before buying complained that the stone was smaller than expected, but it is as stated in the seller's information. Another complaint was that the stone had imperfections, I think this makes it and I actually emailed the seller asking for a stone with imperfections as the eight year old recipient is mad about rocks and minerals and this makes it so more 'real' and interesting. I opted for the presentation box and this really completes the gift. It will be a lasting memento for my Godson of his first communion and so much more fun than yet another bible!

  This is the forth stone that I have purchased over the past 2 years and the quality of them really has deteriorated. The white stone has two ugly blemishes, the name looks squashed in and the carving is uneven on the stone. It was supposed to be a gift to celebrate a birth but I have chosen not to give it.

The text mask for the engraving is run out by computer so is always the same size as they have a set template. Customers are advised to keep to within the character limit which they impose (7 letters for white, 10 for grey) due to how small they can engrave and how large the pebbles are.   I ordered this for the civil partnership present. The stones on the illustrations do not match the stones I received. I think they should put up some unphotoshop'ed pictures for customers to have a real idea of what the products will be like upon receipt. The items were posted to my address with my friends names. Not sure why! These stones were personalised with their names but postage address had my name. If I had not been present I would have had difficulty picking this item up at the post office. The Estimated '7-10 days delivery' is not accurate, it took longer, luckily I ordered these well in advance and to not miss the CP ceremony. The stones themselves, both stones I ordered have hairline fractures going through one side of them each which is dissappointing, I think more attention could be given to the choice of stones. Luckily for me this is not my only present to them as I do not have time to send these back for a exchange/refund. The gift card is more like a business card with writing on the back, more attention to detail could be given here, a way to make it a tad more personal would have been nicer. These are still nice presents encased in nice gift boxes, the idea is great as they make real individual and special presents. The seller just needs to pay more attention to the finer details.

  My order from Letterfest arrived on time after having received emails to let me know how the order was progressing. The packaging was lovely, but until the gift box was opened I was still worried about receiving the incorrect personalised stone(maybe a small digital photo enc would help)However the gift message was not enclosed, a big disappointment. but until the gift was given and opened I wasn't aware. It wouldn't put me off ordering again, but would email or ring for clarification before the order was despatched. Whilst I understand that the product was totally natural the difference between the advertised and the stone sent was quite substantial. The advertised was pale grey and the received one was very dark and not distinctive at all.The engraving was great.

  The stone was beautifully engraved, although little smaller than I expected. I was disappointed that the box was just a shiny paper one which was quite filmsy (it looks like photo paper) as I paid the extra for it. Plus the product wasn't very well packaged so when I received the gift the box had a deformed/squashed corner where I presume it had hit the floor on going through the letter box. I would have thought the company would have packaged it better to prevent this. Plus the box seemed a little small for the stone. I was reasonable happy and had to give the gift as it was due to timescales. The stone took a while to come, but communication was regualar,

  I was somewhat disappointed by how long it took for my order to be delivered. It may well have said somewhere that it would take a several weeks, but in this day and age of Amazon, I'm afraid I'm used to quicker turnaround than that. The product itself was as advertised, albeit smaller than I expected (I don't recall seeing measurements in the description, but perhaps I just overlooked them).
