My name is Kate Charlton and I'm a ceramicist who lives and works from my studio based in Manchester. I love working with clay and have been doing so for over eight years, taking baby's imprints and producing personalised gifts for occasions such as christenings, weddings and other important milestones in life.
Everything in my shop is handmade to order, and can be customised and personalised exactly to your taste. This ranges from choosing the names, dates and messages written on your item, to the colours, patterns, shapes and ribbons used in the decoration. I enjoy making beautiful, contemporary gifts and keepsakes that not only capture special moments and celebrate precious memories, but also create something that will fit beautifully into any home.

I pride myself on creating high quality, personalised gifts that create truly special keepsakes. Everything is handmade by myself from start to finish and has a great deal of love poured into each item!
Working with clay is a truly delicate, and time consuming process - a real labour of love. I hand-build all of my boxes and keepsakes from scratch, and cast some of the more complicated forms using moulds I have made. Once time has been allowed for drying and prep and they have been fired in my kiln, I start the decorating process, and this is where i can personalise the items to your taste. I use a variety of decorating techniques, from hand painting and glazing, to using high quiality ceramic transfers to fire the image into the surface of the clay. The result is a contemporary range of beautiful handmade gifts and keepsakes which make really thoughful and unique gifts for christenings, weddings, anniversarys, engagements and much more.
