A set of three canvas prints taken from original abstract paintings by Jo Nash.
This trypitch of prints is based on a triptych produced by the artist. The sea influences the original piece. The movement of the water is represented by the colour change through the three pieces, also the gestural forms of the layers of images and the white paint. I wanted the surface of the paintings to be textural and have frozen movement that passed across the 3 pieces.
I wanted the fluidity of the sea and the ever-changing aspects and movement of the water spoke to me greatly about time. With layering and paint I wanted to represent the way memories change and fragment through time and the confusion that occurs when we try to recall long forgotten things.
These 3 prints offer you the chance to have a copy of the original art work on your wall.
