A new item for my personalised jewellery range which I just couldn't resist making! I've always enjoyed creating jewellery with words and letters, so this is an obvious choice for me. I sketch out the word repeatedly before I decide on the way I want it to look. Then it is handcut and filed until it looks just right. I texture the silver before I start using lace to create a delicate surface pattern.
The style of the lettering is all my own, and generally it looks best with a capital letter, or all lowercase, rather than all capitals. Due to the nature of this style, the length of the name, or the weight of the capital letter, the name doesn't always hang dead straight. I think this is part of the appeal, almost like a signature, and it appears jaunty and fun! I would describe my style as a handwritten italic - it is not based on any particular typeface. Please ask to see a rough of the name before I commit to making cutting out the silver if you are anxious about the look of the necklace.
You needn't have a name, of course, what about 'love', 'adored', 'sweetheart', 'mum'..... the choices are endless. And how about Mrs.... or Ms......, or Miss...... what a great wedding gift, or 21st birthday present! Or even a honeymoon gift - 'justmarried', 'newlywed', 'taken'! Go on - get creative!
Please ensure you type in your choice of name precisely including whether you would like a capital letter to start the name, as I cannot accept returns due to inaccuracies on your part.
Size: characters approx 0.5-1cm, four-letter words approx 2.5cm wide.
Chain length 41cm/16" or 46cm/18" and the chain fastens with a triger clasp.
This makes a gorgeous gift for yourself or a loved one. All elements are sterling silver and individually handcut - no mass production here!
Your necklace will arrive in my own personalised boxes, which are black and silver, and fasten with a magnetic snap.
