The two birds with feathers intricately stitched with soft grey chain stitch, sit upon a cherry tree branch gazing lovingly at each other, surrounded by blossom and bamboo foliage. Tiny French knots embellish the little flowers and a variety of traditional embroidery stitches transform this design into a work of art. The edges are finished with black blanket stitch, and the back of the cushion opens with two mother of pearl buttons.
