Goody Gum Drop Designs

I am a textile designer-maker living in Cumbria. I enjoy making a variety of textile and ceramic items which are all designed and made by myself. I love using a variety of vintage, found and recycled fabrics and trims along with needle punched wool fabrics sourced from this country.

I am always thinking of new ideas to create, and I love looking back to my own past and also to my mother's, there is something quite special when you create designs from happy memories.

I completed my Masters Degree at the University of Cumbria, where I now work part time. I love passing on my skills and working in an exciting environment. A few years ago I was given the opportunity to go over to South Africa and work within some of the Townships along with other colleagues from the University, it was a very fulfilling time and we got to pass on some of our own knowledge to them within the disciplines of textiles and felt making.
