Using only knit and purl stitches, this kit is surprisingly simple to make. Chunky yarn and thick 4mm knitting needles means he knits up satisfyingly fast so is a perfect weekend or holiday project. The smart hand-packed kit box contains everything you need (except a sharp metal needle for sewing on the buttons) and our easy-to-follow step-by-step instruction 'recipe' (accompanied by colour photographs) will take you through every stage of knitting, making up and decorating a sailor doll in red wellies, stripy trousers and a cuddly stripy scarf, ready to be taken on adventures!
Variations
Tied with a handwritten tag and ribbon, the kit or knitted-up dolly make a lovely child's gift. (You could also weight down the finished sailor to make a very cute sleepy doorstop!)
