'Alice and Ginny' have a passion for making quirky, fun and original textile gifts.
Inspired by colour, design and the wish to reuse as much as possible, designer makers Alice Butcher and Ginny Farquhar (formerly folkydokee) work in collaboration from their home studios creating handmade textile gifts from their large collection of recycled and vintage fabrics.....
....pretty buttons are carefully salvaged from old worn articles of clothing and reused as centre pieces for their funky flower brooches. Fabrics from cotton shirts and dresses are lovingly selected and pieced to make beautiful patchwork cushions. Tiny scraps are saved and stitched to create figurative appliqué on cushions and bags.
From brooches, cushions and handmade dolls to seasonal Christmas Stockings and cards our designs are contemporary, though evocative of a bygone era and appeal to young and old alike.
Most items are one offs and others will vary due to using recycled fabrics.
Please note we offer a flat fee of £2.00 postage per order for UK destinations regardless of how many items you order.
