Attention all shipping! Digital version of the original Shipping Forecast print commissioned to hang in Rick Stein and Jill Stein’s The Seafood Restaurant, Padstow.

The Shipping Forecast names the British sea areas covered by daily BBC radio broadcasts on behalf of the Meteorological Office: Viking, North Utsire, South Utsire, Forties, Cromarty Forth, Tyne, Dogger, Fisher... Ideal for the Radio 4 listener, the sailor, the gardener, the angler or anyone who else who pays keen attention to the weather!

The original Shipping Forecast print was produced using vintage wood and metal type and printed on a vintage letterpress. We have professionally scanned and digitally enhanced the original and then digitally printed it with a beautifully weathered feel. This is a magnificent feature on any wall.

150cm long version available in two different colourways:

Turquoise/green/blue using the modern Fitzroy region

Greys/black using the traditional Finisterre region

made from:

Printed in the UK by giclée onto 300gsm cotton paper as a continuous roll. Supplied unframed.

Size: 150cm x 26cm. (153cm x 29cm framed). The print comes in both framed and unframed versions. Our frames are made by a local picture framing company who offer conscientious attention to detail to this bespoke size. We frame the Shipping Forecast print in solid Ash wood with a limed wax finish to give a lovely driftwood feel (frame width 1 inch/ 2.54cm).

I wanted Finisterre Turquoises which wasn't an option but they responded quickly to my communication, were able to accommodate my request and made the option available on the website so I was able to order. They even personally delivered it as they were driving near to my house. All in all superb service from Flower and Fleurons and very happy with the print.

Really lovely print, but either damaged before or I damaged it trying to get off the mounds of packaging :-( Going to have to take it to a local framers to try and rectify damage to print. The packing was so tight and so illogical in the unwrapping that it took forever to undo and was impossible without the use of scissors. It's now staring at me in my bedroom until I have it repaired and reframed .....
