    With a passion for British 20th century design, Vintlux authentic lighting products have quality and function at their heart.

    The Vintlux Dome is a high quality hand-spun steel shade with a durable enamel finish inspired by the original design of one of the most popular shades of the time. The vent at the top allows for ambient space lighting with directional light projected downward from the efficient, highly reflective enamelled interior.

    This iconic design has been used throughout British industry, lighting workshops, factories, mills and farms. During the 1940s it was Government specified for many buildings and for hospitals at the introduction of the British National Health Service in the 1950s.

    Completely hand made in the UK using the traditional methods of the past, these shades are completely authentic and have a weight and finish unlike anything else.

    The shade is a bare shade and will fit E27 lampholders. Vintlux Pendant Sets avaialable seperately.

    Variations

    We offer a select range of colours, mainly based on traditional colurs but with a nod to more modern interior trends. The traditional colours of British Racing Green, Midnight Black, Classic Grey, Light Cream and Navy Blue are now paired with Terrcotta, Sandstone Brown, Vintage Teal, Antique Pewter and Matt Black

    Dimensions

    The Dome shade measures 260mm in diameter and 165mm overall height. The weight is 760g and the shades will fit all E27 screw lampholders.

    Made from

    Vintlux enamel lampshades are hand spun from steel before being hand coated with a liquid enamel solution. The wet shades are then baked in a furnace at 800 degrees. This process takes place three times, once for a base coat, once for the inner white colour and finally for the outer colour.

    The vitreous enamel finish is guaranteed not to fade or discolour over time and will only ever need a light dusting with a clean dry cloth to bring back it's gloss finish.
