Eliza Asta is a demi-fine contemporary jewellery brand founded on the idea that jewellery should resonate, celebrating moments and memories with beauty and elegance. Thoughtfully designed icons and charms enhanced by precious gemstone details are at the heart of the collection, with each piece intended to be worn individually or layered up in combination, offering an aesthetic that has been created to be timeless and treasured.
The collection is designed in-house by Eliza in her London studio and handcrafted by highly skilled artisans in Jaipur, who use age old hand-crafted traditional techniques to transform 925 sterling silver with 18-karat gold vermeil and precious gemstones into treasured heirlooms.
MATERIALS
GOLD + SILVER:
Most of our collection uses 18k gold vermeil which gives the coveted effect of a premium real gold finish at an affordable price.
Vermeil is a technique originating in the 19th century. It is created using the gold plating technique but requires a thicker layer of gold than standard plating, covering a 925 sterling silver base.
Gold vermeil jewellery is a higher quality product than standard plating, which has a thickness of around 0.5 microns, while vermeil requires a minimum of 2.5 microns covering a 925 sterling silver base. Gold vermeil pieces are at least 5 times thicker than standard gold plating, making gold vermeil more durable and allowing the pieces to be loved for longer.
Our 925 sterling silver is certified nickel-free, lead-free, and cadmium-free.
