Welcome to Cloud Cuckoo Designs, a nest of fabulous and original creativity. With a passion for textiles and an imaginative flair for drawing Cloud Cuckoo blends these techniques to produce unique cards, textile pieces, nursery and junior bedding.
Principal designer Claire has been designing and selling worldwide for fashion, interiors and stationary since 2000 and now brings her unique creations under her own label to you.
The card designs take inspiration from everyday objects, people and animals, to make believe characters and nostalgic childrens rhymes. These are then sketched sometimes stitched and then finalised on computer.
Each textile piece created from doll to brooch is unique and individual using fabrics sourced at local vintage markets or found on travels to far away places. These textile creations may vary due to the nature of fabrics and trims used, thus giving a one-off unique quality.
The collaboration with textile designer Tania Urban resulted in the launch of the Cloud Cuckoo Designs bedding range in summer 2008. Their print dominated pieces have won national and international fans.
