The Recipe Tree is a book designed for you to record well-loved family recipes along with details of your relationship to the people who gave them to you. A fabulous Christmas present for anyone, either left blank or with some details filled in. We think this would also be a gorgeous wedding gift and equally lovely for a birthday or Mothers' Day.
There is an introduction page with a space for a dedication or gift message. You could fill this out either when it is purchased as a present for someone, or when you choose to pass the book on to someone. Following the introduction page is a family tree page. The tree structure is informal allowing it to be adapted to suit many different family types and also allowing you to include friends too.
There is then a page for recording food memories - quite often recipes are lost along the way but you or your relatives may have specific memories of a fabulous meal or of lovely cooking smells.... There are then 60 recipe record pages, each with space to show who gave you the recipe along with the ingredients list and the method. There is also a hints and tips space to note down all those family cooking secrets that give the dish its special twist.
The book is landscape format and measures 21cm by 31cm (including the wire binding). Its is wiro bound with white wire and has laminated cover with a white inside paper cover.

A nice idea but once past the introductory couple of pages although the blank recipe pages are nicely presented it's basically just a spiral bound notebook. However, the book is sturdy and quality made. It would benefit from a ribbon marker and contents page to help the cook find their favourite recipe as there is no option to catalogue the recipes so you have to flick through the book to find what you're looking for.
