An original collection that elegantly combines tradition with vogue.
Catherine Aitken creates a beautiful range of accessories for men and women. From the so popular gents toilet bags to handbags and manbags, the collection uses the iconic Harris Tweed, mixed with leathers, silks and waxed cotton.
Catherine's main inspirations are classic movies and their female stars. The gorgeous range of clutches sported by Bette Davis in 'Now Voyager', the pretty little handbags Doris Day accessorises with in 'Lover Come Back', the colour and fun of 'The Umbrellas of Cherbourg' and the style and chic of 'A Bout De Souffle', not forgetting the tweedy loveliness of Dame Margaret Rutherford - all of these elements are referenced in the latest collection. The Hepburn range was inspired by Katharine Hepburn and her masculine/feminine style - tweed, waxed cotton, and leather.
Catherine Aitken's designs have featured in, among others, The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Daily Mail, as well as Elle, She, and various other national and international newspapers and magazines.
Most recently, Catherine's handbags featured in Karen Gillan's latest feature film that will be on release next year at a cinema near you - Not Another Happy Ending.
