The staple of Catherine Aitken’s current collection is Harris Tweed - handwoven in the Outer Hebrides. Tweed is a seasonless cloth – it’s timeless and classic and this ‘champagne of fabrics’ is teamed with dry waxed cotton produced in Dundee, beautiful linens woven in Fife and leather. The simple aesthetic of the designs offers a non fussy but practical and stylish addition to the urban adventurer’s wardrobe, tying in these heritage cloths and fabrics with a fresh and fashionable flair, embodying style and strength, beauty and purpose.
Combining all these elements in different designs is a joy and allows the wearer to express their individuality and have an emotional connection to their wardrobe. The brand also produces the Renaissance range - recycled from vintage Harris Tweed jackets.
All Catherine Aitken designs are made in Scotland.
