Welcome to my first ever preteen book! Ever since I started making adult colouring books back in 2021, l've been asked to create books for a younger audience. Something that touches on all of the important topics I usually discuss - mental health, body image, social issues... but in a more gentle way
So...let me introduce: For The Next Generation.
I illustrated For The Next Generation with younger humans in mind. I thought about what I would like to tell my future children, or what I wish I could go back and tellmyself, when I was in those awkward growing years of around 8-12. You're still very much a child, but your body is changing and you're becoming more and more aware of the world around you, with so many questions it's overwhelming. It's a tricky little world to navigate and so I wanted to create something to help a little with all of those things - this book touches on changing bodies, bullying, peer pressure, exam stress, equality, mental heath, consent and so much more!Whether you are a child, preteen or adult, I hope that this book will be a gentle, easy tool to relax with after a long day at work or school l've tried to mix important messageswith easy, simple designs to help your brain switch off and benefit your mental health. Sometimes life gets hard and we all deserve a little time out to ourselves no matterour age.I hope for The Next Generation can be that book that I needed as a child, and still need now sometimes.
