These classic Pride and Prejudice quotes have been printed onto a page from the novel itself, and make great gifts for book lovers.
Bibliophiles will love this literary typographic art! There are four quotes to choose from, each sharing the romantic, witty and, most importantly, book-loving essence of Jane Austen's classic novel.
The quotes to choose from are:
"It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife." (The cheeky and iconic opening line of Pride and Prejudice.)
"How shall I bear so much happiness!"
"I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book!" (Perfect for book lovers...)
"In vain I have struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I love and admire you."
Whether you're looking for a birthday gift, or a romantic gesture, these quote capture something special.
The lovely old book pages are framed in ethically sourced wood and gift wrapped in a beautiful old road map. The quotation is printed using a hand drawn font made exclusively for Bookishly, and the original book pages make each one unique.
The page is taken from a small a-format paperback and the piece measures approximately 12cm x 18cm (approx 5 inches x 7 inches)
The black wooden frames are handmade in Northamptonshire using wood sourced from sustainably managed forests. There’s no glass so you can feel the lovely old page.
The frames stand up by themselves or hang flush to the wall. They look great stood on a bookshelf. The old books come from local charity shops and second hand book dealers.
You can also choose to have your book page print(s) completely unframed. Please note the pages are delicate, small, and are not standard frame sizes so if you are going to frame them yourself you will most likely need to have a custom mount/mat made.
12cm x 18cm (approx 5 inches x 7 inches)
There is approx 0.3cm of black frame showing around the page, and the frame is 3cm deep.
