Betty’s Glamour Box began when a Bride to be was exasperated at the thought of finding her something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue. The night before the big day this Bride had still not found all her items and was in a bit of a tiz! Her Bridesmaid came to the rescue by creating an adorable bridal pin charm containing all these items.
The Bridesmaid thought this had been such a success as her Bride to be was ecstatic with the thoughtful gift. She developed her idea and decided to share it with others to help make every Bride’s day special.
Each Charm Pin is handmade by the 'Bridesmaid' (me!) and is gift wrapped in a beautiful bridal white box, completed with a hand tied blue ribbon. Every box is complete with a silver sixpence, traditionally slipped into the Bride’s left shoe signifying wealth
Bettys Glamour Box has grown and the Bridesmaid has since added small, thoughtful gifts to her collection.
The name honours my great aunt Betty — a glamorous, theatre-loving spirit who inspired creativity in my family. My grandmother often told stories of Betty’s magical costume trunk, filled with treasures and sparkle. When I came across a photo of her in a family album, the name Betty’s Glamour Box just clicked. Her spirit lives on in every charm I make.
For years, her photo adorned my packaging, echoing the elegance of 1920s glamour — a nod to both my personal story and the vintage charm that I love so much.
Today, each pin is presented in a sleek, white bridal box, foil-embossed for a classic finish — but the heartfelt origins remain the same.
