These fabulous bespoke reproduction bus blind prints are totally unique to you. Tell the story of your life together though your own destinations. List your names, birth places, favourite holidays, places with special meaning, children's names, private jokes, where you fell in love, where you have lived - anything is possible. A fantastic piece of statement art and an amazing conversation starter.
We have given you the option of 16 destination lines to start with as we think that looks great, but you can have as few as 8. It's all up to you and how you want your print to look. If you would like more or less lines, and so would like to change the size of the print or frame, or want to vary the colour, just ask and we'll be happy to oblige. Please enter your destinations in BLOCK CAPITALS.
Each print is individually created and emailed as a proof to you for your approval before printing. We normally send the proof within 3-5 days of accepting your order, so please keep a look out for it. A giclee print is then created on archival enhanced matte paper and posted to you unframed, wrapped in tissue paper in a protective cardboard tube. Or if you'd prefer, you can have it custom framed in a white wooden frame, teamed with white mount board, by local framers using FSC approved wood.

Dimensions: 26 x 51cm approx. as a framed print, or 21 x 47cm approx. as an unframed print.
Unframed prints will be printed with a substantial white border around them. This allows for easier and cleaner handling when unwrapping and when framing, which we highly recommend to preserve the quality of your print. This border is not part of the print and is meant to be trimmed or hidden under a mount.
With the exception of seasonal peaks, please allow approximately two weeks for delivery of unframed prints and approximately four weeks for framed prints.
How to get the most from your print:
- Take a day or two to think about your list of "destinations" - sometimes when you're not actively thinking about it, one will pop into your head from nowhere!
- Think about the order in which you want the destinations to appear. Some go for chronological order, some by order of importance. We will present the artwork in the order you give us.
- The length of each line is important. A small word like ROME will look very spaced out, a lot of words like Welwyn Garden City College may look too busy.
- If you like the variety of small and large text size, then it would be great to provide destinations that work in the format. Instead of just ROME, have ROME TI AMO (which means I Love You in Italian of course!) or CENTRAL PARK, NEW YORK instead of just Central Park
All of these things will help us to get your artwork right first time and minimise any delays in the proofing and amendment stage.
Please be aware, unfortunately we are unable to send framed prints to the Highlands and Islands, non-Mainland UK and overseas.
A quick history lesson!
AEC Limited, the company that made the iconic Routemaster buses, was born in Walthamstow - just like me! Before WWI, Frank Pick, the Chairman of London Underground, commissioned Edward Johnston to create a typeface that could be legibly read by all at some distance, to be used on the front of trains and throughout the underground. When London Transport was created, merging all buses, tubes and trains the Johnston font became synonymous with London.
So the original British designers of the bus blind were Pick and Johnston, nearly a century ago! The first folk to bring us personalised bus blinds were the utterly fabulous Print Dolls in Australia and we are proud (actually pleased as punch) to be the only ones to have their blessing to offer the same here in the UK. We hold true to their high standards.

A simply wonderful product - just perfect for my son's first wedding anniversary. Beautifully made and presented, very well packaged so it arrived in good time and with no damage. Again, I can't praise them highly enough.

Thanks for your feedback and we’re sorry to hear that you’re not totally happy with your purchase. The print itself is of excellent quality, I hope you'll agree, but please allow me to expand on that. The paper is an acid-free, archival specialist paper designed to be used with the specialist inks that we have access to. This means that your print has a depth of colour that is simply not achievable with ordinary printing methods and will not fade for at least 80 years. It really is designed to last a lifetime. When designing these highly personal and very meaningful prints, we hope not to give the impression that they should be regarded as a disposable, temporary addition to your home. The overall cost of the item covers not only the professional papers and inks, as well as postage and packaging, but also the design time of professional graphic designers with the promise of being able to change the details and get the print just right during the proofing stage, no matter how long that takes. I am genuinely sorry that you have not been 100% happy with your purchase, but I do hope the information here can reassure you of the quality and care given to your print.
