The picture has two stitched butterfly books and two single butterflies sitting on a background of text which flows up the sides of the box frame. Two of the butterflies, one stitched and one single, are faced in gold leaf.
I seek out second-hand, damaged and unloved books for these artworks, choosing books that have resonance, and pages and text with a special colour and quality.
